The Silver (Coho) Salmon Season at HooDoo was remarkable.

The quality and volume of Coho Salmon running up the Sapsuk River is amazing. I equate this place to experiences like visiting New York City for the first time or seeing the Grand Canyon… you have to see it to believe and understand it.
The wildlife in Alaska is fun to watch and given the remoteness of HooDoo Lodge there is always something to see.

Success casting top water flies to Silver Salmon in Alaska while a fox plays in the background. Moments earlier on this trip we encountered a Brown Bear making for an incredible outdoor experience.
