I had a great learning experience when Steve was able to record my form with his slo-mo app and compare with a side-by-side of proper form and see the difference from a spectators point of view. He also had many other helpful tips that other guides never pointed out to me before. This guy knows his stuff. And he makes learning fun with just the right amount of praise:critique ratio.

Steve is a fabulous teacher and guide. My husband and I had a wonderful time and will be coming back for more days on the river for sure! Excellent experience!

Loved MoJoBella!! Steve found em and we hooked them. My sister and I each caught 3 large trout and probably lost a half a dozen each. Not bad for our first fly fishing adventure.  Steve was a terrific guide and a pleasure to be with.

Steve is a great guide and we had the best fly fishing trip! He was very approachable and was excellent in coaching me how to catch fish on the Lower Sac. The greatest part is that we hooked 15 fish (landed eight) while competing with 10 other boats on a busy Saturday! Well done Steve, I had a great time. I wish the trip didn’t have to end. If you want to learn how to fly fish the Lower Sac, give MoJoBella a call!

We had so much fun! Steve was very patient with us as we made mistakes and began to learn how to fly fish. He’s a great teacher. How exciting for my son to land his first fish! I’d recommend Steve Crosetti. He even had a heater and hot chocolate for my son. That was a nice touch.

My 15 year old son and I fished the lower sac with Steve Crosetti on Sept 17th. Steve is a fantastic and patient guide and instructor! His knowledge and experience is top notch and we were in great hands the entire day. Steve obviously loves the sport of fly fishing. His enthusiasm is infectious. Could not recommend him enough!

Steve is an amazing guide. As a fly fisherman, fishing for the past two decades in the upper Sac he was able to introduce me to some new secret spots that I never thought existed. He put me on the fish with the right flies. Fun and patient. Great trip

Steve was exceptionally knowledgeable of the river and a seasoned professional. I had never tried fly fishing in my life and had always wanted to learn. Steve showed me the basics and down the river we went. Had an outstanding time catching fish and learning the true art in fly fishing. I landed a 22 inch rainbow and what a great fight it was. I highly recommend MoJoBella Fly Fishing. The Sac river is a treasure right here in our own backyard. Book a trip and experience fly fishing with truly a great company.

Steve Crosetti of MoJoBella Fly Fishing guide services showed us a great time floating the Lower Sacramento river.  He is a smart, articulate and fun person to be with and he knows where and how to catch the trout.  He’ll also teach you some key technique along the way so you’ll improve your skills as well.  I highly recommend MoJoBella.  I’ve fly fished all over…Montana, Wyoming, California, and this was as good as it gets…. you’ll have a great time and you’ll catch some big rainbow trout to boot!

WOW Steve’s unbounded energy and vitality just leading up to our rendezvous on the Mad River was as exciting as the moment that foggy river bank got us two girlfriends “hooked!” on fly fishing.  After a full day of Fly Fishing 101 with Steve Crosetti, owner of MoJoBella Fly Fishing Guide, our curiosity of women anglers was fulfilled.  An incredibly thoughtful birthday gift could not have selected a more knowledgeable angler and highly respected naturalist.  Six AM started our thrilling day with five changes of weather allowing MoJoBella lessons on casting and loop strategies in wind, rain, fog and sunshine.   With each condition Steve responded with more vigor, more energy, and more renewed determination to show us the range of casts our rods offered us.  Steve is an excellent teacher who is easy to understand and follow his footsteps.  Our drastically different ways of learning; visual vs technical, left Steve unphased, a master at judgment call.  He used different approaches that varied from a stand back and watch with a gentle yet critical eye, literally hands on, and often roll modeling in sight of us.  With recent rainfall, he was no short of giving us the life history of the elusive Stealhead spawning at our feet and the important lesson water clarity has on fly selection.  From the fishes perspective and the logic of casting in backwater eddies, riffles, rapids, upstream and downstream approaches too.  He literally left no river rock unturned when it came to relevant information, not too much but just enough to feed us all the necessary ingredients to aspire to become an esoteric member of “Ladies on the Fly”.

I hired Steve to guide me on the Lower Sacramento river to fish for Rainbow trout. Steve is very knowledgeable, taught me a lot about the art of fishing, was engaging and yet not overly talkative (which some guides can be). We had a great day, would strongly encourage you to hire Steve next time you fish the Lower Sac!

We floated the Lower Sacramento with Steve. We landed some very nice rainbows. He has a motor on his boat and was able to get us upstream to do multiple passes on prime holding areas for fish. All good.
